Description
Meshes
3D-printed table light
16 × 20 × 16 cm
Meshes.
Meshes is a 3D-printed table light. Its geometric shell conceals a layered structure revealed by light through circular openings distributed across five parts of the object.
The simple outer body contrasts with an elaborate interior built from overlapping layers and spatial structures.
The openings act as frames through which the interior can be observed from different perspectives. The form changes with the viewing angle, revealing successive fragments of the composition.
Light emphasises the object’s depth, reveals its structure and gives the light a sculptural, almost architectural character.
The project was inspired by meshes, cross-sections and complex arrangements created during digital modelling.
The name Meshes refers both to the digital meshes that build the surfaces of 3D models and to the interpenetrating structures visible inside the light.
Light is not merely a functional addition here. It passes through successive layers, emphasises their rhythm and changes the way the entire body is perceived.
Depending on the perspective, the interior may resemble a miniature landscape, a fragment of architecture or a digital structure translated into a material object.
Meshes combines a lighting function with formal experimentation and the possibilities of 3D-printing technology.

#3Dobjects is a series of projects in which I explore the relationships between light, structure, technology and spatial form.
I am interested in bringing structures created in the digital environment into the material world. Each object is a distinct form, yet together they tell a story about the possibilities of contemporary design and 3D printing.
