Traditional ornament in a digital form
Tatra is a light-coloured bag with a geometric form, made using 3D-printing technology. Its decorative front was developed from transformed floral motifs and ornamentation from the Podhale region. The pattern was not reproduced literally — it was simplified, rescaled and constructed as a spatial, contemporary lace.
02 / Process
Decoration becomes structure
The openwork structure is both an ornament and part of the functional form. 3D printing gives the motifs rhythm, relief and a new material quality, while the gold-plated chain and metal fittings contrast with the light surface of the object.
